Betty Lehman

Betty Jane Lehman, age 81, passed away Sunday July 24 while attending a Reserve Officers Association conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Betty was born on June 3, 1935 in York, Pennsylvania, to Russell and Emigh (Reickley) Ream. Betty was a member of the ROA for over 45 years, and was a long time supporter of the American Military, ROA and the ROAL, organizations she was introduced to during her marriage to George Shandor ( Major (Army) deceased 1972). Throughout her life, she volunteered her time and talents with Lu Lu, Delaware County, and Conestoga Shriners, as well as many local and State political and governmental organizations. Betty was a 38 year resident of Wallingford, PA, moving to Riddle Village 2 years ago. She gained many new friends and became involved in Riddle Village's social and organizational activities. Throughout her life Betty was a woman of style and taste, a lover of animals, and a true American Patriot. Betty was married to Herman A. Lehman for 38 years until his death November 12, 2011. She is survived by her son Michael Lehman (Paul), daughters Patricia Campbell Bennett (David) and Jane Innmon (Patrick), sister Nancy Hall, 2 nephews, 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Betty and her life will be held on Saturday August 6, 2016 at 11:00AM at Wallingford Presbyterian Church, 110 East Brookhaven Road Wallingford, PA. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to The Wounded Warrior Project and Shriner's Hospital for Children.
