Blanche M. Clark

Blanche “Bea” Clark, age 97, passed away April 6, 2023. Beloved daughter to the late Richard Whiteley and Marie C. (nee Motz).

Blanche is survived by her children Steve Clark (Nancy), Nancy Murphy (Mike), and Donna Jordan (Buck). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 8 great great-grandchildren. Blanche was pre-deceased by her husband Donald G. Clark, her brother Kenneth Whiteley, and her great-granddaughter Chelsey Murphy.

Always known for her excellent cooking and baking skills, her dessert specialty was German-chocolate cupcakes with sweet vanilla buttercream icing. Yummm!!! She could also decorate a house, room or patio to make people think they were walking into a builder’s model. According to her husband Don, she was “the best-dressed woman in church”, always having her entire outfit and shoes match perfectly.

Shop, boy did Blanche love to shop! “A little ‘retail therapy’ is always good for the soul”, she would say. And wow, did she have a “green thumb” when it came to nurturing plants & flowers! Most of all, though, her greatest enjoyment in life was to simply be with her husband of 67 years and the family that she loved, encouraged, and took care of. Blanche was one of the most positive people you would ever want to meet. She always made you feel special about yourself.

Relatives and friends are invited to her “Celebration of Life” service Friday, April 14th from 1:30 PM to 2:45 PM at New Hanover United Methodist Church, 2211 Swamp Pike, Gilbertsville, PA.
