Bradley V. O’Brien, Sr, age 90, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2021, surrounded by his wife and children at his home in Robbinsville, NJ.
He was born April 24, 1930, in New York City, to Michael Mathew and Marie O’Brien (nee Bradley). He graduated from St Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia in 1947, earned his BS in Physics from Villanova College in 1952 and his MBA from Temple University in 1955.
Brad grew up in the Germantown section of Philadelphia and moved his family to Bala Cynwyd, PA, Milwaukee, WI, Franklin Lakes, NJ, Villanova, PA, and finally Robbinsville, NJ. Brad worked at Honeywell, GE and Western Union before forming his own consulting firm.
Brad truly lived life to the fullest, enjoyed traveling the world, being a Villanova season ticket holder for 40 years, supporting Right-to-Life, and spending time with his active grandchildren with their many accolades and endeavors.
He was predeceased by his son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Vita. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 66 years, Eleanor K. (nee Ryan), his children, Duffy, Brad (Frances), Ellie (Vince Calcagno), Danny (Ulrike), Matthew (Rosemary), and 13 loving grandchildren Michael (m. Christine), Patrick (m. Carmina), Christopher, Matthew, Steven, Meghan, Michael, Kieran, Matthew, Caroline, Colin, Rosemary and Eleanor.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 from 10:00-10:45 AM at St. Thomas of Villanova Church Main Campus Chapel, 800 E. Lancaster Avenue, Villanova, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.
Masks are to be worn when visiting the family, to the Funeral Mass, Cemetery and Social Distancing is to be observed.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that a donation in his name be given to Pennsylvanians for Human Life (PHL), 590 Snyder Avenue, West Chester, PA 19382.
