Bradley Michael Thompson passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the age of 24. He was born in Media, PA to parents Alan Thompson and Jayne (Finnie) Thompson. He was raised in West Chester, PA and resided in Malvern, PA with his younger sisters, Audrey, 18, and Kelly, 21. He is survived by his parents, sisters, and two dogs, Lylah and Cody.
Brad has an extensive family who loved him abundantly, whether they lived near or far, covering Pennsylvania, Indiana, Georgia, and Florida. Brad made friends with every person he encountered, forming cherished relationships. The impact of his positivity, kind heart, and friendly attitude is vast and immeasurable.
Brad graduated from Great Valley High School in 2011. While in school, he got his first job at Wawa and served as a valued member of the Wawa family for seven years. Brad also attended Eastern University and West Chester University, though he never found his niche in school. Brad loved his current work at What A Good Dog in Frazer, PA, where he had the opportunity to care for and play with dogs all day long.
Aside from his furry companions, Brad was passionate about music and adventure. He played in the worship band at his church home, Christ's Church of the Valley in Royersford, PA. He also enjoyed helping his friends in their music career aspirations, playing in bands for many of his friends' shows. He was talented on many instruments, including but not limited to guitar, bass guitar, drums, ukulele, banjo, and mandolin. Though Brad did not often take on lead vocals, you could always find him singing along to every song in the background. When he was not with his dogs or on a stage, Brad liked to be outside. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, kayaking with friends, biking the trails surrounding Philadelphia, and working on various home improvement tasks.
Brad passed away due to injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident. He lived the way he died, doing what he loved. He will be sorely missed by his family and the community, but he has been joyously welcomed home to the Lord.
Brad loved the band Switchfoot. Brad loved Switchfoot so much that he flew across the country to see them with his best friend. So, it is fitting to leave you with a few simple words from Jon Foreman, the lead singer: "Life is short; I wanna live it well." (Live It Well, Switchfoot)
