Brian O'Connell

Brian J. O’Connell, 59, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on February 5, 2022.

Born in Geashill, County Offaly, Ireland in 1962, he was the son of the late Seán and Georgina (nee Rice) O’Connell. Brian was a longtime coach with the Highland Park Kirklyn Athletic Association. He was a big baseball, hurling, and Gaelic football fan. Brian was also a great supporter and volunteer of the DelCo Gaels Youth Gaelic Club.

Brian was the beloved husband of Bridget M. (nee Fullerton) O’Connell; loving father of Seán J. O’Connell and James B. O’Connell; caring brother of Deirdre O’Connell, Brendan O’Connell (Helena), and Seán O’Connell (Maura); also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 6-9 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 and 9-10 AM Saturday at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082, 610-449-0300 , followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:30 AM at St. Laurence Church, 8425 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
