Bridget Hegarty

Bridget Hegarty (née McNulty), age 87, of West Chester, PA (formerly of Broomall, PA) passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2023.

Born in County Donegal, Ireland, Bridget was the daughter of the late Patrick and Rose (née Boyle) McNulty.  Bridget immigrated to the United States in 1960.  

Bridget is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, James Hegarty, her children Maureen Hewitt (John), Brian Hegarty (Megan), and Paul Hegarty (Amanda); her daughter-in-law Julie Hegarty; her 9 grandchildren, Michael, Bridget, Aidan, Annie, Mary, Evelyn, David, Owen and Tessa; her great-grandson Charlie, her sister Nellie O’Donnell (Joseph) and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.  Bridget was predeceased by her cherished sons, James Paul, William Patrick, and Michael Joseph; and her brothers, Charles, William, Dennis, Joseph, and Bernard.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass Friday morning June 30, 2023 at 10:30 AM, St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike Newtown Square, PA and to her Viewing, Thursday evening, June 29, 2023, 5:30 – 8:30 PM and on Friday morning, June 30, 2023, 9:00 – 10:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA  19073.
