Bridgette McCallen

Bridgette McCallen (Ramsden), age 80, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2021. Born in Philadelphia, she graduated from Overbrook High School and was a long-time resident of Springfield, PA and recently resided in the Upper Darby Section of Havertown, PA.

She was the loving mother of Terri Jamgochian (Gary), John Ramsden (Cory) and Denise Ramsden (Lori), the cherished Ma/Gram of Mike (Nicole), Jaci (Joseph), Danielle, Shea (Kaitlin), Nicolette (Justin), Brooke (Nick), Grace, and Payton, and the adoring Gigi of Maddox, Audrey, Jackson and Mackenzie. She was predeceased by her treasured aunt, Alice (Bradley).

Bridgette was the matriarch of her family and often was heard sharing stories of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with tremendous pride and affection.  She enjoyed writing poetry, reading, and cooking for her large extended family. Her spaghetti and crabs feast was legendary.  In addition to her deep love for her family, Bridgette loved animals, most especially her dog Murphi and her grand-dogs.

Bridgette embodied kindness, integrity, and generosity. She recognized and shined a light on the strengths of others, forming special connections that will be deeply missed by those lucky enough to be loved by her.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM, Saturday, May 22, 2021 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA followed by her Memorial Service at 12:00 PM. Interment West Laurel Hill Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd PA.
