Brockley "Brock" McCain

Brockley “Brock” McCain, 94, of Newtown Square, PA, formerly of Media, PA, passed away February 16, 2022.

Born September 28, 1927 in Upland, PA, he was the son of the late John Raymond and Maude (nee Brockley) McCain.

Brock graduated Nether Providence High School, Class of 1945.  He then served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II.  As part of the GI Bill, Brock worked at the Essington Yacht Yard then  the Upland Yacht Basin, and thereafter the Georgetown Yacht Basin located in MD.  Brock met his bride, Jean, while working at the Georgetown Yacht Basin.  At that time, Brock then worked as an insurance claims adjuster with Commercial Union. Brock enjoyed boating, especially canoeing and kayaking. He was a jazz enthusiast and loved Louis Armstrong.

He was the beloved husband of the late Jean (née Hadley) McCain and the loving father of John McCain. He was predeceased by his sister, Patricia Spaatz.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation, 10:30 to 11 AM, Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, followed by his Funeral Service at 11 AM. Interment is private.
