Bruce A. Benkert, 64 of West Chester, PA and formerly of Media, PA passed away on September 6, 2014.
Born in Upper Darby, PA in 1950, he was the son of the late Hubert Benkert and the late Muriel (Wagner) Benkert.
Bruce worked as a Carpenter and supervisor in the Construction industry. He loved the outdoors and was a member of Ducks Unlimited Springton Chapter, an organization that works for the preservation of Wetlands in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Bruce was the loving husband of Jane (Pritchett) Benkert; loving father of Matthew A. Benkert (Allison) of Gilbertsville, PA and Robert E. Benkert of West Chester, PA; doting grandfather of Jack, Ryan, and Kathryn; dear brother of Irwin E. Benkert of Clark Summit, PA, two sisters, Susan B. Heselton of Joppa, MD and Nancy L. Benkert of Media, PA.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday and to his Service 11:30 a.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse, 1800 Lombard Street, Philadelphia, PA 19146.
