Bruce Henderson, Sr.

Bruce F. Henderson, Sr., age 79, of Havertown, PA, passed away on March 30, 2014. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Matthew and Lillian E. Henderson (nee Moore). He was employed with the Delaware River Port Authority in bridge maintenance at the Walt Whitman Bridge for 33 years. He retired in 1991.



Bruce is survived by his wife Antoinette Henderson (nee Grassi), his children Antoinette Liguori (Jerry), Kathleen Neri (Vince), Bruce F. Henderson, Jr. (Ann-Marie), Patrick Henderson (Stephanie), Michael Henderson (Lorraine), Joseph Henderson (Penny), Annamarie Alexander (Howard), Shawn Henderson (Carolyn), Lillian O'Brien (Dominic), Edith Tentarelli, and Robert Henderson (Natalie), his sisters Lillian Wilbur and Phyllis Garofalo, 28 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son, Richard M. Henderson.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Wednesday, April 2, 2014 7:00-9:00 PM and Thursday, April 3, 2014 8:30-9:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby (610) 449-0300 and to his Funeral Mass 10:00 AM Sacred Heart Church, Manoa and Shelbourne Roads, Havertown, PA. Interment is private.



In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
