Carl Robert Spiron

Carl Robert “Rob” Spiron, 74, of West Chester, PA, passed away August 9, 2023. 

Born July 3, 1949 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Marvin H. and Eleanor (nee Perna) Spiron. 

Rob served honorably in the U.S. Navy Reserves. 

Upon graduation from Monsignor Bonner High School, Rob began his career as a machinist at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, until the Yard’s closing in the 1990’s.

Rob was an avid gardener, and was very proud of his flowers. He enjoyed giving back to the community through charity work, often helping at food banks and soup kitchens. He had a passion for his “three toys”: his bicycle, motorcycle, and Corvette. 

Rob was the loving father of Jeffrey M. Spiron (Melissa); adoring grandfather of Mia M. Spiron and Maximus J. Spiron; and dear brother of Claude “Skip” Spiron (Marcy), Patricia DeMarco (the late David), and Denise Treichel (Steve). He is also survived by his former spouse, Marianne C. (nee Wood) Spiron.  

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, Friday, August 18, 2023 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382. Interment is private.   

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Camphill Village Kimberton Hills, PO Box 1045, Kimberton, PA 19442.
