Carmen Lombardi

September 25, 1941 — November 24, 2024

Carmen Lombardi, age 83, of Broomall, PA, passed away on November 24, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Lena (nee Lallo) and George “Bud” Fowler.

Carmen was a simple man, but his personality was not. He was boisterous on the outside but soft on the inside. He was a self-taught master plumber and a tinkering inventor. Anything his family bought for him, he had to dissect it and put it back together his way. And many times, his way was better than the original. Carmen was a reader – he read encyclopedias and the dictionary. He was always interested in what was happening around him. He would debate anyone, but he especially enjoyed debating his friend Bill. He had a soft spot for animals, loved strawberry shortcake, his recliner and eating out with his wife Janet on Saturday nights. He loved his family, but we know he loved his dogs Coco and Rocco “more” – and we were okay with that.

If you knew Carmen, consider yourself lucky – you will never find another man like him. He will be missed.

Carmen was the beloved husband of the late Janet Lombardi (nee Micolucci); loving father of Thomas Lombardi (Marie), Kristin Alessandrine, and Matthew Lombardi; adoring grandfather of Kayleigh and Frankie; caring brother of the late Annette Lombardi.

Services and Interment are Private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Carmen’s name to Providence Animal Center, 555 Sandy Bank Rd, Media, PA 19063, providenceac.org, would be appreciated.
