Carol A. Donahue

Carol A. Donahue (nee Trill), age 64 of Glenolden, PA passed away on Monday, April 22^nd, 2024. Born in Bryn Mawr, Montgomery County. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Eleanor E. Trill (nee Bruning). Carol was interested in Technology. She did very well while attending courses and educating herself in the Information Technology field which led her to become an IT Specialist in the world of computer programming. She also was the first female Shipfitter at the Philadelphia Naval Yard.

There was so much more than just work for Carol. She had many interests and hobbies but family was the most important thing to her. She enjoyed coaching her daughter’s softball teams for Collingdale when they were growing up and was at every football practice and game of her son’s in his career. Carol loved her Phillies! And even more than that, she loved watching her grandchildren play sports and dance. Spending time with them was one of her favorite things to do. She also enjoyed vacationing with her family in Cape May and Wildwood and with friends since childhood in the mountains. She was a unique and special woman who will be missed by all who knew her.

Carol was the beloved wife of Wayne J. Donahue, Sr.; the loving mother of Carol A. Gibbons, Melissa A. Donahue and Wayne J. Donahue, Jr.; the caring sister of Eleanor Allen, Janet Pownall, Edward Trill and Charles Trill; and the adoring Nana of Mia A. Donahue, Rylee A. Gibbons, Gianna A. Donahue, Joseph M. Gibbons, III, Savannah A. Donahue and Kinsley A. Donahue.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Monday evening, April 29^th, 2024, 6:00-8:00 PM at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, PA, 19070 and Tuesday morning, April 30^th, 2024 10:00-11:00 AM; followed by her Funeral Service at 11;00 AM. Interment at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, 1600 S. Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064
