Carol M. McGuinness

Carol M. McGuiness (nee Hannelly), age 60, of Springfield, PA, passed away on May 2, 2022.  Born in Darby, PA, Carol was the daughter of Marie Hannelly (nee Heffernan) and the late John J. Hannelly.

Carol was a graduate of Cardinal O’Hara High School and Delaware County Community College.   She had been employed as an Executive Assistant to the CFO at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Carol loved Irish music, Aerosmith, Elton John and had a love of animals.  She enjoyed going to the beach.   She trained and completed the Eagles Autism Challenge for two consecutive years.     

In addition to her mother, Carol is survived by her son, Sean McGuinness (Keirsey), and her grandchild, Baby McGuinness, who is on the way.   She is also survived by her siblings Michael Hannelly and Maureen MacIntyre (Bob) and her former spouse Brian McGuinness.   She was the sister of the late John J. Hannelly, Jr. 

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family Thursday, May 5, 2022 6:00-8:00 PM and Friday, May 6, 2022 10:30-11:30 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Mass at 12 Noon at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA.   Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
