Carolann T. Sanger (nee Smith), age 55, of Lansdowne, PA, passed away suddenly on September 15, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph S. and Christine Smith (nee McGee).
In addition to her devotion to her family, Carol was passionate about her career.
A registered nurse for over 25 years, she cared for pediatric and adult patients at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, Bryn Mawr Hospital, the University of
Colorado Health Science Center, St. John's Medical Center and St. Luke's Hospital in St. Louis, and Doctor's Hospital and Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX.
Carol is survived by her beloved husband, Frederick Sanger, and her son Frederick "Fred" Sanger, III.
She is also survived by her siblings Tina Smith, Joseph Smith (Karen), Stephen Smith (Kathy) and William Smith, and her nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, September 22, 2018 11:00 AM-1:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to the Make A Wish Foundation, 5 Valley Square, Suite 210, Blue Bell, PA 19422 or to the American Diabetes Association, 150 Monument Road, Suite 100, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004 would be appreciated.
