Carolyn Doxsey King died peacefully at her home in Drexel Hill, PA on April 23, 2015. For the last 4-1/2 years, Carolyn had courageously fought her disease of progressive supranuclear palsy. She was predeceased by her parents, Agnes Himmelman Doxsey and Arnold Sylvester Doxsey. She is survived by her husband, Adrian Renz King, her children Adrian Renz King, Jr. (Caroline Estey King) and Sheilah Renz Pesek (Christopher John Pesek) and her grandchildren Margaret Estey King, Alexandra Renz Pesek, Leslie Glenn King, Martin George Pesek and Frederick Doxsey Pesek. Carolyn is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law Stephen Arnold Doxsey and Lynne Doxsey.
Carolyn was a U.S. Marine Corps wife during the Vietnam War. Her son was born at the Naval Hospital, Quantico, VA, and her daughter was born in Darby, PA, while her husband was in Vietnam. She was a hero then and remained a hero to her family and friends. When Carolyn died, she was at peace, and death occurred with great dignity, the way she led her life. She was a wonderful kind, gentle and fun-loving person.
Family will greet friends Saturday, May 9, 2015 from 9:00-10:15 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA followed by her Memorial Mass at 10:30 AM. Interment will be private.
