Carson McClain, age 97, of Newtown Square, PA, passed away peacefully on December 26, 2018.
Born in Mayfield, KY, he was the son of the late Noble and Roberta (nee Albritton) McClain.
Carson served his country honorably in the U.S. Marines during WW II and was part of the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.
Upon returning home, he received his BA from the University of Michigan.
Carson married the love of his life, Nancy, on September 6, 1952 at the Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church in New York City.
Together they raised their two sons, Timothy and Geoffrey in the Philadelphia suburb of Wynnewood.
Carson worked in the textile industry and retired in 1990 as Vice President of Marketing for Culp, Inc. of High Point, North Carolina.
Carson is survived by his loving sons, Timothy McClain and Geoffrey McClain; his three cherished grandchildren, Courtney, Arden, and Emily; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Nancy (nee Lewis) McClain, and his two brothers, Ralph and Joe.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
Interment will be private.
