Catharine J. "Cathy" Madison (nee Grimley), 84, of Westtown, PA passed away on July 8, 2015.
She was a 1949 graduate of Upper Darby High School and a graduate of Banks Business College.
Cathy owned and operated Madison Studios in Woodlyn and Westtown as an "Award Winning Photographer and Artist." She was a member of the Ridley Township Business Association.
Cathy was a very active member of SS Simon & Jude Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and coordinator of Ushers. She was the School Photographer and involved in Pre-Cana and RCIA.
Throughout her life she was an avid book reader and a very caring person who always put others first.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, James and Theresa (Lafferty) Grimley; her husband, James C. "Jimmy" Madison; and four brothers, Joe, Jim, Tom and Eugene Grimley.
She was the loving mother of Donna Stackhouse (Tom), Christopher Madison (Robin) and Brenda Lane (John); loving grandmother of Michael Holmes, Jamie Thomson, Carrie Root, Stephanie Madison, Kathy Stackhouse, Stephen Stackhouse and five great-grandchildren; dear aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to greet her family 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 23, 2015 and to her Memorial Mass 11:00 a.m. at SS Simon & Jude Church, 8 Cavanaugh Court, West Chester, PA. Interment private.
