Catherine C. Carr, 78, passed away on December 7, 2014 at her home in Parkesburg. Born August 20, 1936 in Philadelphia and a 1954 graduate of West Philadelphia Catholic Girls High School.
She was the wife of David J. Carr, her husband of 57 years. She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine McCormick (nee Cochran).
She is survived by a sister, MaryAnn Dudley (Tom) of Wilmington, a brother-in-law Anthony Carr (Cathy) of Coatesville; two daughters, Karen Shaver (Wade) of Coatesville and Theresa Hurley of Coatesville; six sons, David Carr Jr. (Jeanne) of Coatesville, Steven Carr (Kim) of Boyertown, Michael Carr (Margaret) of West Grove, Kevin Carr (Suzanne) of Parkesburg, Christopher Carr (Julie) of Red Lion, Matthew Carr (Shelly) of Parkesburg; 22 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Thursday, December 11, 2014 from 7:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. and Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 West Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA, 610-269-3080 and to her funeral mass on Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of Consolation Church, 603 W. 2nd Ave, Parkesburg PA, where she is a parishioner. Interment will be at Our Lady of Consolation Cemetery.
