Catherine LaMon (nee Bell) found her way home to our Lord in heaven on November 15, 2023. She was the beloved wife of the life of the late William E. LaMon III.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Theresa V. (nee Peterson) Bell.
Catherine, known to her friends and Family as Kay, spent each of her days as a devoted wife and loving sister, mother, and grandmother. Those of us who were blessed to have known her understand that her existence and the imprint left on our hearts far exceed that of the time spent with us here on earth. Kay spent most of her life devoted to caring for family and friends, creating memories for all at the beach, game nights, and at her family meals. Not a day went by where Kay didn’t talk about how much her children and family meant to her. Her family was arguably her most important achievement in life.
Kay is survived by her loving children, William LaMon (Carol), Steven LaMon (Marianne), and Sharon McManus (Thomas); her 9 cherished grandchildren and 9 precious great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, William LaMon, her brother Edward Bell, and her sister-in-law Carol Massengill.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing, Tuesday, November 21, 2023, 10:00 – 11:00 AM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073, 610-353-6300, followed by her Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Catherine would be appreciated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, https://www.stjude.org/give.html.
