Catherine Mitchell

Catherine T. Mitchell (nee Trudel), 93, of Philadelphia, Pa passed away peacefully on August 28, 2019. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph & Marguerite (nee Walls) Trudel, daughter Doris Anne Daniels, sister Doris Steen, brother Joe Trudel, husband Mitch Mitchell and ex-husband George S. Mitchell, Sr.

Catherine was a War bride. She met a sailor, fell in love and got married. Raising her children was most important to her. She was previously employed by Exxon as an Administrator and at one time was also employed by Montgomery Ward. Catherine has lived in the family home in Philadelphia for 80 years but had also lived part time in Ft. Myers & Key West Florida. Catherine really enjoyed going to the Jersey shore with her cousins. She was a kind, generous, giving and loving person. She loved the times that she spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her grandson Russ formed a special bond with his grandmother that he will always cherish.

Catherine is survived by her loving children Carolyn M. Connelly & George S. Daniels, Jr. (Dawn), many grandchildren & great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to her Visitation on Saturday August 31, 2019 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by her 11:00 AM Funeral Service at The Knoetgen-Donohue Funeral Home, 746 Kedron Avenue, Morton, Pa 19070. Interment Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
