Cathryn D. Schumacher

Cathryn D. “Cathy” Schumacher (nee Donohue), aged 90, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on December 10, 2024. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John G. Donohue and May Donohue (nee Brennan).

Cathy was the beloved wife of the late Edward Schumacher, Jr. She was a loving mother to five wonderful children: Ed Schumacher III, John Schumacher (Kathlyn), Susan Schumacher, Tom Schumacher (Christine), and Michael Schumacher (Courtland). She was also a caring sister to John Donohue Esq. Cathy is survived by nine fabulous grandchildren and was predeceased by her siblings, Ann White and Marita Fisher.

Cathy was the former head of the Immaculata Physical Education Department from 1955-1961, known affectionately as “Miss Dee.” She was also a well-known Realtor from 1973-2015.

Relatives and friends are invited to Cathy’s Visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Ln, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at SS Peter & Paul Cemetery.
