Charles W. Cadden Jr. born July 3, 1941 at Fitzgerald Mercy hospital Darby, PA passed away peacefully at his home in Westtown, PA on April 14, 2020.
Chuck lived his childhood days in Collingdale attending St. Joseph’s grade school and Monsignor Bonner high school graduating in 1959. He attended Villanova University before joining the US Air Force in 1961 where he served in Texas and Bitburg Germany. It was in Germany that he met the love of his life Angela, they enjoyed sixty years of true love and devotion to one another. After his service to our country, he was employed by JT Miller plumbing company. It was there that he worked closely learning the trade with his best and lifelong friend “Big Ed” Miller. Chuck took those skills and a strong work ethic to follow in his father’s footsteps working at Scott Paper Co. for twenty-five years in both maintenance and supervision. Like his father, Chuck took great pride in his abilities and dedication to the company. After his retirement from Scott, Chuck spent nearly twenty years working for Uwchlan Township as a building inspector. At Uwchlan he worked closely with another great friend Tom Cooke, the two made quite a team. It was in 2013 that Chuck was ready and able to enjoy retirement, spending his days with his loving wife and many, many friends. He was always having fun frequently travelling and enjoying a second home in Brigantine, NJ.
Chuck was a lifelong fan of the Philadelphia Eagles never missing a game and being a season ticket holder for over thirty years. He knew and loved the game. The Phillies, Nascar, Bitburger Pils and Miller products were also parts of his time well spent. He was also an avid golfer and member of local clubs Chester Valley and Penn Oaks. “Lucky Chucky”, as he was affectionately known by family and friends, will be dearly missed. He was the best husband a woman could ever have. Chuck was cool. To know him was to love him as his love of life was always evident and outgoing demeanor infectious. His wittiness and uncanny ability to remember events and celebrations were just some of his many attributes.
He was predeceased by his parents Charles W. Sr. and mother Sarah A. (nee McDonald).
He is survived by wife Angela (nee Munster), Brothers; Edward F. (Terry) Huntington Beach CA. Michael D. (Diana) West Chester. Sister Teresa Morrison Glen Mills.
