Charles J. Haas, age 75 of Havertown, PA passed away on August 25, 2017. Born in Darby, PA he was the son of the late Albert and Marjorie Haas (nee McFadden).
He is survived by his beloved wife Kathryn A. Haas (nee Farnschlader), loving children Michael Haas, Terri Haas Flannery, Christine Kavka (Daniel), Gregory Haas (Kathryn ), dear sisters Marjorie Rienzi (Joe), Barbara Shelton (John), Joan DelOrefice (Ron), Maureen Haas-Fitton, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his brother Francis Haas.
As a younger man he served in the Marines out of high school. Came home met and married his future wife Kathryn and had four children while living in Havertown. He was very active in the community, running the civic association, coaching, and participating in youth sports activities. He was also Commander of the American Legion Post at Grasslyn Field and Commander of the Catholic War Vets in Manoa.
As he became older he moved away from being in charge but continued to be a participant in his community and with his many family and friends. He will be missed.

6:00 PM followed the service at 6:00 PM at the Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
The Haas family requests in lieu of flowers contributions be offered in his memory to the American Diabetes Association.
