Charles , Jr.

Charles A. Eckler, Jr., age 74, of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on August 15, 2016. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charles A. Eckler, Sr. and Dorothy Eckler (nee Nagele).



Charles was a decorated Vietnam veteran. As an officer in the U.S. Army, he received the Bronze Star for Valor and was a Special Forces Green Beret.



Charles enjoyed playing the accordion, deep sea fishing and once even rode his motorcycle across the United States. His hobbies included golfing and playing darts.



Charles was always willing to help family and friends in need.



Charles is survived by his children Dorothy A. Young (Douglas) and Deborah A. Ovens (Matthew Clarke), his brother Ronald (Jean) and his life companion Bonnie Bahel. He was predeceased by his brother Kenneth Eckler.
