Charles Kazanjian, age 98, of Media, PA, formerly of Broomall, PA, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2021.
Born in West Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Martin and Veron (nee Yacoubian) Kazanjian.
Charles served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during World War II, enlisting at the age of 18. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant, was awarded two Purple Heart designations, one being the Oak Leaf Cluster medal. He also fought in the Battle of the Bulge.
After his return from the war, Charles attended and graduated from Temple University and went on to become a Certified Public Accountant. He was a great story teller and had the most amazing sense of humor. He loved being out on the Rolling Green Country Club golf course with his playing partners, where he was a 48 year member of the Club. His one true love was his precious wife, Vicki, whom he loved so very much! Charles treasured the time spent with his grandchildren too. He taught them all to be kind and generous.
Charles was the beloved husband of the late Victoria “Vicki” (nee Kesdekian) Kazanjian; the loving father of Gary Kazanjian (Susan), Kenneth Kazanjian (Shelly) and Judith Kazanjian; the devoted grandfather of Garrick Kazanjian, Derrick Kazanjian, Jennifer Flair (Christian), Justin Mulvey and Emily Mulvey. He is the proud great-grandfather of three, Graham Flair, Haylee Flair and Harrison Flair.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Graveside Service, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at 12:00 PM at Arlington Cemetery, 2900 State Road, Drexel Hill, PA 19026.
