Charles A. Porrini, DDS

Charles A. Porrini, DDS, 93, of West Chester, PA passed away on July 21, 2024. 

Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the only son of the late Amadeo and Josephine (née DeLuca) Porrini. 

Charles was the first of his family to attend college. He graduated from LaSalle College with an Economics degree. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War then returned to Temple University for a degree in Dentistry. Charles graduated from Temple in 1960 and practiced as a dentist in West Philadelphia and Lower Merion, PA. 

When he retired from dentistry, he spent his time as a volunteer preparing taxes for H & R Block and for senior citizens at the local library. He subsequently volunteered as a helper at the library. 

Charles was a loving husband to Eleanor Bernardin Porrini; brother of the late Gilda Porrini Bellano and Ellen Porrini Schmidt; and devoted Dad of Karen Porrini. 

He was a devout Catholic and Eucharistic Minister. He worked hard all of his life, from cutting grass with his father, to cutting meat at Penn Fruit, to delivering mail for the post office, and then 26 years as a dentist. He inspired many people and even some of his patients became dentists as a result of his professionalism and enthusiasm for the field. He was a kind man and loved by all. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Friends, Family and Relatives are welcome to attend his Visitation 10:30-11:00 AM Tuesday, July 30th, 2024 at SS Peter and Paul Church, 1325 Boot Road, West Chester, PA 19380, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment private.
