Charles E. Santangelo, Jr., 62, of West Chester, peacefully passed away on August 4, 2015 surrounded by his family.
Born in 1953 in Norristown, PA he was the beloved son of Grace and Charles E. Santangelo, Sr.
Charlie worked as the President of the Americas for Houghton International until his retirement. His extensive 38 year career took him from being a chemist in the lab of Quaker Chemical to President of D.A. Stuart before being bought by Houghton. He loved having fun with family and friends, golf, the Philadelphia Flyers, Eagles and Phillies, craft beer and fine wine.
Charlie was the beloved husband of Jill Santangelo (nee Rosen); the loving father of Michael Santangelo, Lisa Ejsmont (Mark), David Santangelo, and Stephanie Santangelo; the loving grandfather of Zachary Charles Ejsmont; and the dear brother of Steven Santangelo (Rattana) and Mark Santangelo (Betty Ann).
Celebrations will take place in both West Chester, PA and Naperville, IL:
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 8, 2015, and to his Prayer Service 12:00 p.m. at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382 610-431-9000.
A second Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, August 10, 2015 and Final Prayers 10:15 a.m. Tuesday August 11, 2015 at the Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 36 N. Ellsworth, Naperville, IL. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Bryn Mawr Rehabilitation Hospital, ATTN: Development Office, In Honor of Charles Santangelo, 414 Paoli Pike, Malvern, PA 19355 or to Caringbridge.org.
