Charles Ward, sr.

Charles R. "Charlie" Ward, Sr., age 90, of Downingtown, PA, formerly of Hershey's Mill in West Chester and Drexel Hill, PA, passed away on August 22, 2016. Born in Collingswood, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Edward and Frances Ward (nee Swift).



Charlie served in the United States Navy during World War II and was a self-employed Insurance Inspector.



He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Marguerite (nee Mongan). He is survived by his children Charles R. Ward, Jr. (Andrea), Marguerite A. "Meg" Amentt (Bud), Susan M. Ward, James J. Ward (Claire) and Nancy A. Ward, 8 grandchildren and his nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.



Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Friday, August 26, 2016 10:00 AM-10:50 AM St. Bernadette Church, 1035 Turner Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
