Cheryl Walsh

Cheryl Walsh (nee Shanfield), age 62, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away suddenly on December 12, 2021.  Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of Esther Shanfield (nee Pogach) and the late Irving Shanfield.

Cheryl had been employed as one of the Head Chefs at Aronimink Golf Club. She enjoyed cooking and watching the Food Network. She loved lemon drops and anything with lemons.  She enjoyed going to the Jersey beaches, especially Atlantic City, Margate and Ventnor.  She loved candles, teddy bears and the Grateful Dead (Eyes of the World).  She enjoyed giving back to the community and lending a hand to anyone in need.

In addition to her mother, Cheryl is survived by her husband, John A. Walsh, her son Vinny Walsh and her siblings Joy Kauffman (Nelson), Gale Schnall (Dr. Robert Schnall), Mollie Linsky (Marc) and Leon Shanfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family and to celebrate Cheryl’s life on Sunday, December 19, 2021 2:00-3:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 8401 West Chester Pike (cor. Lynn Blvd.), Upper Darby, PA (610) 449-0300 and to her Funeral Service precisely at 3:00 PM.  Interment will be private.
