Clare Bowersox

Clare B. Bowersox (nee Bynum), 73, of West Chester, PA passed away on September 6, 2017.



Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1944, she was the beloved daughter of the late Terrell W. and E. Elizabeth (Warren) Bynum.



Clare was a 1966 graduate of West Chester University. She was a teacher in the Unionville-Chadds Ford and Penn Delco School Districts and was a tutor for many years. She was known for her funnel cakes at the Chadds Ford Days and school fairs. Clare loved her get-togethers with family and friends.



She was the beloved wife of Clarence William "Bill" Bowersox, Jr.; loving mother of Joy Allison Broyles (Jim) and Clarence William (Billy) Bowersox, III; devoted grandmother of Rebecca Grace; and loving sister of Elizabeth Sabatino (Bill), Terrell W. Bynum (Aline), Karen Wright (Joe) and Deborah McKinney (the late John). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.



Relatives and friends are invited to her Visitation 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, September 9, 2017 followed by her Funeral Service 2:00 PM at the Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000.
