Clare F. Touey

Clare F. Touey (nee McLaughlin), age 84, of Glen Mills, PA (formerly of Lansdowne PA), passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, surrounded by her children. Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eleanor McLaughlin (nee Carlin).

A devoted mother and grandmother, Clare instilled in her children and grandchildren an enduring belief that people are essentially good, and that when people were in need it was our responsibility to do something about it. Sea Isle City may have been her happy place, but she was never more fulfilled than when helping make sure every client of Family Support Services had an amazing Thanksgiving meal, and all of their kids had presents on Christmas morning.

Clare was the beloved and devoted wife of the late John Vincent Touey, Sr.; loving mother of John V. Touey, Jr. (Jin Hee), Daniel P. Touey (Diane), and Maura E. Ferrill (Martin); adoring grandmother of Lauren, Sara, Charlotte, Ellie, and Jack; caring sister of Rita DiSciullo (Dan), Joan Cervino, and Tom McLaughlin (Joan).

Family and friends are invited to Clare’s Viewing 9:30-11:00 AM on Monday, February 17, 2025 at St. Pius X Church, 220 Lawrence Rd., Broomall, PA 19008, followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter & Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA with a reception to follow at the Towne House (117 Veterans Sq., Media, PA 19063)
