Concetta P. Pepenelli, 93, passed away April 28, 2024. Beloved daughter of the late Federico and Louisa (nee Cibbione) Pepenelli.
Concetta is survived by her loving brother Victor and loving sister Amelia. She was predeceased by her dear siblings, Nick, Vincent, Pasquale, and John.
Connie was at the heart of the family. She was a steady and constant source of love and laughter. She was always ready to take care of others and thoughtfully did so whether she was making you a plate from the hundreds of homemade cookies she baked at Christmas, sending you home with gravy she made for your Sunday macaroni, or giving you a pair of beautiful homemade booties she knitted throughout the year to keep your feet warm in the winter. Connie was always giving to others and used to say how happy she was to do so. It gave her so much joy to show love and for those on the receiving end you could feel how lucky you were to have her in your life.
Connie loved to travel and said her mom used to ask her as soon as she came home, "where to next?" There was always a new adventure waiting in the wings. When asked of all the places she visited which was her favorite, she could never choose as there were so many she enjoyed. She also loved to read, sharing her books with friends and family so they could go on adventures of their own.
Connie's kindness and generosity was followed closely by her keen ability with numbers. She worked for years at the bank, a reliable presence often called upon to solve critical issues. Given some time and a pen and paper she could easily find a discrepancy and trace it all the way back to its origin. She was practical, matter of fact, and razor sharp when it came to finances and continued to be throughout her retirement.
Connie was loving, selfless, loyal, and dependable. She was always ready to lend an ear, provide much needed advice, and she was so very easy to talk to. You knew she saw you and loved you for exactly who you were. She never judged, she never pushed, and she always helped. She was kindness personified and the world was a warmer more wonderful place with Connie in it. She will be deeply missed and her love will continue on in the people grateful to have called her family who will bake her cookies, read her books, wear her booties, and remember her for how truly special and remarkable she was.
