Constance (Connie) Ann (Weber) Cahill passed peacefully Thursday, January 26, 2023 in the home of her daughter Elizabeth Ann surrounded by her family and in the presence of her longtime and beloved caregiver, Rachel Abrams.
Connie was born on May 8,1937 to Constance (Vernovage) and Julius Weber, Sr in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ and grew up in Teaneck, NJ. She was the oldest of their six children.
Connie attended The Academy of the Holy Angels Grade School and High School. She continued on to Notre Dame College in Maryland her freshman year and Chestnut Hill College her sophomore and junior years. She met her husband, Thomas E Cahill, on a blind date and eloped with him a short time later and never looked back.
Connie had 4 loves: family, travel, Avalon and golf. She also had a strong faith which guided her throughout her life. And she was always up for any card game, board game, bingo, mahjong and bridge!
Her love for the “Shore” began early with family vacations to Atlantic City, St. Petersburg, Florida. She and Tom later enjoyed yearly vacations to Avalon for many years before eventually purchasing their dream place on the bay where family memories continue to be made.
After Tom’s sudden passing in 1994, Connie lived out their dream of traveling the world with her sister and best friend Juliana. She also took up golf, a sport her mother and father had enjoyed. She loved playing with family and friends and was a proud member of the hole in one club!
Connie is predeceased by her husband Tom and survived by her three daughters: Elizabeth Ann Callaghan (Paul), Karen O’Neil (Joe) and Christine Porrini (Paul) as well as her treasured nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. In addition, she is survived by sisters Juliana Mazzucco, Joan Marie Ambrose, and Eileen Phillips and brothers Jules (Pat) and Michael (Peggy) and many beloved nieces and nephews. She is also predeceased by her brothers in law Tom, Frank, John and Nick.
