Cynthia Doherty

Cynthia Doherty, age 59, of Milbourne, PA, passed away on September 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. Born in Southwest Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved daughter of the late William and Celine Doherty.

Cynthia was reunited with her husband Joe LaVecchio who was the love of her life. Cynthia and Joe were together for 40 years and raised three amazing sons, Joseph LaVecchio (April), Andrew LaVecchio, and Christopher LaVecchio. Cynthia was blessed with her three grandchildren Joseph, Anthony, and Gianna. She is also survived by her siblings Celine Hadley, Margi Law, Cheryl Grassia (Amedeo), Barbara Armstrong (Paul), Mike LaVecchio (Chrissy) and many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

Cynthia was a wonderful mother and grandmother, she constantly doted on her family and was always happiest when she was surrounded by those she loved. She hosted many holiday parties and always had people over during Eagles games. Cynthia enjoyed cooking and always prepared a delicious family feast whenever she hosted. She is leaving her family with a lifetime of memories that they will cherish forever.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass 11:00 AM on Monday, October 2, 2023 at St. Laurence Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA 19082. Interment Private.
