Danica A. Campanale

January 13, 1969 — January 7, 2025

Bryn Mawr, PA

Danica Anne Campanale (nee Johnson), age 55, of Bryn Mawr, PA, passed away on January 7, 2025. Born in Vineland, NJ, she was the devoted daughter of Walter and Gretchen Johnson (nee McKeon).

Danica grew up in Millville, New Jersey until she was 11 years old and her family moved to Vineland. She began taking piano lessons at the age of 6 and was an advanced student of the art when she attended Sacred Heart High School in Vineland. She began playing piano for all of the plays at Sacred Heart as a freshman and continued through senior year. She also played the organ at church for countless Sunday masses, funerals and weddings. She was loved by her classmates, becoming school president as a senior. When she graduated high school in 1987, she received a music scholarship to attend Immaculata College in Paoli, PA, where she would earn a bachelor’s degree in Piano Performance. From there she would attend Cumberland County College in Vineland to achieve a degree in nursing.

She married her beloved husband Joe on September 6th, 1997 and would go on to have 4 children in 5 years. Danica embraced the roles of devoted wife and mother with unparalleled grace and love. Her unwavering commitment to her family defined her legacy, as she nurtured them with both affection and dedication. Those who were fortunate enough to know Danica can attest to her unparalleled warmth and selflessness. With a spirit that seemed to shine brighter with each passing year, she was always the first to volunteer her time and talents to assist those around her. Her nurturing nature extended far beyond her immediate family, as she made it her mission to help everyone in need — a testament to her compassionate heart and unwavering commitment to service. Danica loved to entertain and hosted numerous parties for family and friends, and she also played piano through all of her adult years - stepping up whenever there was a need for her musical talents. She was an avid reader her whole life and she loved movies, traveling, baking, and gardening. In recent years she loved spending time with her husband, her precious children and her treasured dogs at her home away from home in Tuckerton, NJ.

Danica was the beloved wife of Joseph Campanale for 28 wonderful years; loving mother of Francis (25), Vincent (24), Caitlin (22), and Lucia (20); caring sister of Kevin (Meg), Maura, and Ned (Danielle). Also survived by 11 nieces and nephews.
