Daniel Neely

Daniel A. Neely, age 77, of West Chester, PA, went home to be home with his Lord and Savior on May 20, 2021 after a long fight with cancer.

Dan is survived by his wife, Connie Neely (née Hankin); his three children Amy S. Hughes, Linda K. Casillas and Robert Cameron Neely (Colleen Flinn); eight grandchildren, Kathryn L. Markley (Matt), Rachel E. Hughes, Lauren A. Hughes and Emily J. Hughes; Maya Casillas and Ian M. Casillas; Connor Cameron Neely and Brendan Cameron Neely; his sisters Virginia Woodburn, Eileen Howard (Mike) and Pat Helbers (Dale); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

He was preceded in death by his father Rev. Robert M. and Esther E. Neely.

Dan attended the University of Pennsylvania (BSE) and Widener University (MBA) and spent a total of 35 years at PECO both as a Vice President and ultimately CEO of Adwin Realty Company (subsidiary of PECO).  Upon retirement from PECO, Dan became a real estate broker and worked for Kar-Mar Realty, Inc.  Dan was also Concord Township Supervisor for 16 years and President of his Homeowner’s Association in West Chester, PA.

In his spare time, Dan enjoyed baseball, golf, traveling, singing, playing games (winning games), teaching bible study and spending time with his family and friends at his shore house.  He was also an active member of the Gideons International for many years and played softball and sang for the church choirs at Mount Hope Methodist and at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM, Thursday, June 3, 2021 at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church, 7 Mt. Lebanon Road, Wilmington, Delaware, where friends and family are invited to gather together in remembrance.
