David Melvin Babb, 66, of Denver, PA, formerly of Upper Darby and Springfield, PA passed away on August 9, 2013.
Born in 1947, David was the loving son of the late Marian (Rowand) Babb and the late George H. Babb.
He was a graduate of Springfield High School and earned his degree in business from St. Joseph's University.
David was a published poet and writer, and a recipient of the George Washington Freedoms Foundation Medal for his essay on what it meant to him to be an American. He was an avid music lover, a Mason (Mozart Lodge) and a proud Vietnam-era disabled Navy veteran.
David never stopped searching for the truth. He was also my big brother. Above all, he cherished his family.
He is survived by his sister Jane, brother-in-law Peter R. Certo and nephew, Peter.
"Your life and spirit will never be forgotten, Unky Dave."
