David J. Curran, age 90, of Douglassville, PA, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2022.
Born in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late William J. and Mary (née Mansfield) Curran.
Prior to joining the corporate world, David served his country honorably as a member of the United States Army. Subsequently, he spent his entire professional career at Household Finance Corporation, where he was a determined, compassionate, and well-respected executive. Especially after his retirement in 1990, he enjoyed going on domestic and international cruises with Alice, reading, fishing, golfing, and supporting all of the Philadelphia sports teams (even during years when they were not particularly successful). Above all else, David fiercely cherished his wife, children, grandchildren, and other family members and friends (including many canine companions; Heidi, Gretel, Katie, Jesse, and Dixie).
David was the beloved husband of Alice (née Monck) Curran; the loving father of David Curran (Amy), Bill Curran, Alan J. Curran (Alice Johnson-Curran), Alison Myer (Scott), and the late Joseph Curran. He was the caring grandfather of Bill, Chris, Courtney, Michael, Sean, David Jr., Bobby, Matthew, Mackenzie, Hope, Davis, and the late Brett, and great-grandfather of Rory and Reagan. David is also survived by his sister, Mary Jo Morris, and predeceased by his siblings, William Curran, Francis Curran, Sara Benn, and Monica Gillen.
