David D. Deckard, 68, of West Chester, PA and formerly of Newport, PA and Wilmington, NC passed away on June 3, 2013 at home with his family.
Born in Baltimore, MD, David was the son of Velma Justine (Wells) and Frank D. Deckard, both deceased.
He was a graduate of Gettysburg College and worked as a Computer Assistant/Program Design Analyst for the DuPont Company for 37 years.
David had many hobbies including Photography, wood working, wine making and sport car rallying. He also loved animals and spending time with his family.
David was the beloved husband of Sandra C. (Christman) Deckard; loving father of Karen D. Collins (Ryan) of West Chester, PA; loving grandfather of Rachael, Lathan and Sean and dear brother of Daniel Deckard (Kathleen) of Dover, DE.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:00-11:00 AM Saturday June 15, 2013 and to his Memorial Service immediately following at 11:00 AM at the West Grove United Methodist Church, 300 N. Guernsey Road, West Grove, PA 19390. Interment will be Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
