David E. Failor, of Downingtown, passed away on November 1, 2024 at the age of 63, at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved son of the late Eugene Lynn and Linda Joan (nee Rhinehart) Failor.
After attending college in Williamsport, PA, with a degree in mechanicals, David founded Downingtown Electrical and Plumbing Co in 1983. For 40 years, he served thousands of people in his community, helping many at times of great need. Over the years, he had many employees and worked with a variety of contractors and businesses, impacting the greater community with his work ethic and his desire to help.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman. Starting from a young age, he always enjoyed spending time in the woods and in nature. He loved camping, eventually gaining his own hunting camp in the mountains, surrounded by woods and wildlife. He loved bass fishing at Marsh Creek, crabbing in the bay, and catching flounder on his boat at the Indian River Inlet in Delaware.
Dave was an excellent cook. He loved to host and entertain, always making sure his family and friends were well fed and having a good time. Bringing people together around the table brought him great joy.
David is survived by his children, Paul Failor and Crystal Failor; granddaughter, Anna Baldwin; sister, Patricia Failor, and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jim Failor, Sue Sievers, and Bev O’Connell.
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye. His loss will be felt by so many.
Relatives and friends are invited to David’s visitation on Saturday, November 16th from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at The Donohue Funeral Home, 43 West Lancaster Ave, Downingtown, PA. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
