David L. Harris, 74, of Glen Mills, PA and formerly of Clark Summit, PA passed away on August 13, 2018.
Born in Philadelphia, PA in 1944, David was the son of the late David H. and Ethel (Butler) Harris.
He retired from IBM in 2005, as Regional Manager after 41 years with the company.
David was a funny, loving family man, who loved gardening, golfing and going to Longwood Gardens. He was a huge sports fan with March Madness being his favorite time of year.
David was a great friend and neighbor who always had an open garage door policy. His passion and talent for wood working solved many problems in his home and those of friends and family.
David was the loving husband for 27 years of the late Mary L. (Scannell) Harris; loving father of David (Sonya) and Debby Grear (Rick); devoted grandfather of Hillary, Aaron, Braden, Lee and Mia; dear brother of James Harris (the late Mary).
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Friday, August 17, 2018 at The Donohue Funeral Home, 1627 West Chester Pike, West Chester, PA 19382, 610-431-9000 followed by his Memorial Service 11:00 AM. Interment Private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to Chester County Hospital, 701 E. Marshall Street, West Chester, PA 19380.
