David Bruce Kirkland

David Bruce Kirkland, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away suddenly on February 20^th at age 80. He was born to Margaret and William Kirkland on August 15, 1942, in Jersey City, NJ. He was a graduate of St. Peter’s Prep and St. Peter’s College.

David is survived by his wife of 59 years Kathleen, children Deirdre Wood (Fred), Linda Sims (Ernie), David Kirkland (Kristen), and Jeffrey Kirkland (Meghan) and 8 grandchildren, Kyle (Katie), Emily (Nick), Magnus, Eric, Maggie (Travis), Gavin, Rhys, and Sullivan, and 3 great-granddaughters, Kennedy, Reagan, and Caroline.

David will be remembered for his thoughtfulness, great style, and dedication to his family. He loved having his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters all together for holidays, celebrations, and family events.

After many years as a CPA David changed his career to become Director of Communications with Alco Standard. Shortly after retiring, David and Kathy opened Kirkland and Kirkland in Glenside, PA, and enjoyed 15 years in the antique business.

David and Kathy moved into The Masonic Village in Lafayette Hill, PA in 2016. David’s charismatic personality helped them form endearing friendships. David became a member of the Masons, Roxborough Lodge No. 135.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-10:00 AM Saturday, March 25^th at St. Philip Neri, 437 Ridge Pike, Lafayette Hill, PA, followed by his Memorial Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
