David Rothbart, age 72, of West Chester, PA, passed away on November 18, 2017. Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Lillian Rothbart (nee Trachtenberg).
David entered George Washington University at the age of 16 where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. He was commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force at age 20 where he served for 23 years, spending the first five years as a B-52 Bomber Pilot during the Vietnam War. The next 18 years were spent as a transport pilot providing airlifts, airdrops, and aeromedical evacuations. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was also an airline pilot for 33 years retiring as an international Captain.
David enjoyed reading books, being a companion to his faithful dogs, and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren.
David is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Baker-Rothbart, his loving children Maria Blohm (Frank) and Ray Blohm (Kelli) and his dear grandchildren Benjamin Trendle, Brandon Trendle, Kyleigh Blohm and Kierstyn Blohm.
