Deacon Joseph E. Iannucci, beloved member of the Havertown/Broomall community and a dedicated servant of the Church, passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 90.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Dr. James and Teresa (Lucente) Iannucci.
A 1961 graduate of St. Joseph's University, he built a successful career as an Underwriting Supervisor in the insurance industry, where he was respected not only for his professionalism but also for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand to colleagues.
However, it was in his role as an ordained Catholic deacon at St. Pius X Church that he truly found his calling. For 32 years, Deacon Iannucci dedicated himself to serving Christ and the community, assisting in various church services and providing unparalleled comfort and support to those in need. His dedication to his faith inspired many around him. Deacon Iannucci’s presence was a beacon of hope and compassion, and he will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him.
Joseph was the beloved and devoted husband of Edith (Ventrola) Iannucci; the loving father of David J. Iannucci (Kayoko) and Michael F. Iannucci (Jenny), the proud and caring grandfather of Thomas, Kathryn, James, and Darien Iannucci. He is also survived by his younger brother, Dr. David E. Iannucci (Sylvia).
