Dee Ann Delaplane (née Copeland), 82, of Exton, PA, formerly of Downingtown and Indiana, PA and Columbus and Bryan Ohio, passed away June 17, 2024.
Dee attended Ohio State University and earned her Masters degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She started as a radiology technician at Riverside Hospital; worked as a caseworker for the state of Pennsylvania for over 20 years; and retired as a Vocational Rehab Counselor.
She served as the Treasurer of the Society of Pennsylvania Archaeologists for many years and volunteered as an amateur archaeologist.
Dee was predeceased by her parents Ralph and Martha Copeland.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Gene Delaplane; her daughter, Teri Santivasci (Mike); her sons: Chris (Mary) and Neil (Nancy); her seven grandchildren: Kathryn, Marc, Evan, Jenna, Connor, Madeleine and Mitchell; her sisters: Carol Maiorano and Sue Copeland; and her brother, Jim Copeland.
Service will be held privately.
