Della May Sterner

Della May Sterner, 99, of Wildwood, FL, formerly of Drexel Hill, PA, passed away January 21, 2021.

Born February 5, 1921 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late George and Emma (nee Hoover) McDowell.

Dell was an avid reader and enjoyed crossword puzzles, bingo and playing board games and card games with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved listening to talk shows on her little transistor radio, antenna up, earbud in, often sleeping with them playing all night long.

She was the beloved wife of the late Allen Sterner; loving mother of Carol Conboy (John), Janet Daly (George), Diane Cole (the late Ronald), and Jeffrey Sterner; adoring mom-mom of Lisa, Brendan, Bryan, Shaine, Nathan, Jesse, Ashleigh, Jackie, and Laura; and caring great-grandmother of many great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings: Beatrice Murphy, George McDowell, Charles McDowell.
