Deni M. Zodda, 61, passed away on the evening of November 17, 2014, surrounded by people who loved him. He was the son of Alfred T. Zodda and the late Jean (nee Naydan) Zodda.
Deni was a loving husband, partner, and hero to Dee (nee Dawis) Zodda. He was Dad to Michael, Andrew, and Lydia Zodda and always kept the monsters away. He was Poppy to Renee Zodda and made the best funny faces. He was a dear brother to Fred Zodda and Christie Simels and never stopped getting them into trouble. He was a cool uncle to Nicole Kolodny, Robert Simels, and Charles Zodda and numerous Dawis nieces and nephews.
He was countless things to many, many others: a good and loyal friend, a lover of food and fine company, a teacher, a scholar, a golfer, a biomedical consultant, a fan of the New York Yankees and the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame, an inspiration, a bit of a goofball, and most of all a great guy to be around.
His life will be celebrated at:
A memorial gathering on Thursday, November 20, from 7 to 9 p.m., at Donohue Funeral Home, 366 W. Lancaster Ave, Wayne, PA 19087.
A funeral mass on Friday, November 21, at 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas of Villanova Church on the campus of Villanova University.
In lieu of flowers, please do something nice for your dad. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Thomas of Villanova Church, the Augustinian Order, and Fox Chase Cancer Center.
