Denise Marie (Cummings) Enterline of West Chester passed away peacefully at the age of 74 on Monday, March 14, 2016 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in 1941 in Bloomfield Hills, MI, to the late Anna May and Thomas M. Cummings and grew up in Ashland, PA. She was the beloved wife of William W. Enterline for 51 years until his passing on Oct. 27, 2012.
Denise graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg. She attended West Chester College and Immaculata University.
Denise was devoted to her children and grandchildren, for whom she would do anything. The definition of a "people person," she was a warm-hearted, generous friend who never met a stranger, from the person in line at the grocery store to the hundreds of people whose lives she improved by helping them find a job. Denise owned Galent Staffing Services in Paoli, PA, for 16 years and worked in the staffing industry for more than three decades. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, and vacationing in Stone Harbor, NJ.
Denise is survived by three children: Sandra A. Kern and husband Craig of Mechanicsburg, PA; Karen E. Ruddy and husband Thomas of Downingtown, PA; and Thomas R. Enterline and wife Beth of Downingtown; five grandchildren, Joseph, Michael, Thomas, Jack William, and Amelia; and a sister, Joanna Cummings of Harrisburg.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 19 at Saints Peter and Paul Parish, 1325 E. Boot Road, West Chester, with calling hours from 1-2:20 p.m. Interment 12:00 noon Sunday, March 20 at Kimmel's Cemetery, Ashland, PA.
