Dennis C. Sheedy, 64, of West Chester, PA passed away on October 21, 2022.
Born and raised in West Conshohocken, PA in 1958, he was the son of the late Daniel P. and Nancy (nee McKay) Sheedy.
He was a graduate of Upper Merion High School, class of 1977 and Widener University in 1981 with a degree in Business Management.
Dennis spent his highly successful career in sales, first as a leading salesperson at the innovative office ergonomic company Softview and then continuing his stellar record for 20 years at Penncat Corporation where he was a Senior Account Executive selling critical power systems.
He enjoyed going to weekly dinners and movies with his wife Mary Anne, spending time with his grandchildren, refereeing countless CYO games as a certified P.I.A.A. officiate, singing Elvis songs, and fervently following Philadelphia sports. Go Birds (and Phils).
Sports were a life-long passion for Dennis. He was a gifted athlete and avid golfer who was recently inducted into Widener University’s Athletic Hall of Fame as a team member of the 1981 Division III National Championship Football Team.
He was a long-time parishioner of St. Agnes Church in West Chester. He will be remembered for his unparalleled work ethic, dedication to his late wife Mary Anne, and being an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and loyal Philadelphia sports fan.
Dennis was the beloved husband of the late Mary Anne Becker; loving stepfather of Kate Walton (Todd), Meghan Passarelli (Robert), Nikole Assarsson (Erik), and Christina MacRae (Iain); devoted grandfather of Chandler, Christian, Jack, Isabella, Alex, Scarlett and Audrey; brother of Michael Sheedy (Mary Anne), Kathleen Buscher (the late Richard), Daniel Sheedy (Denise), Nancy Sheedy (John Onufer), Donna Sheedy, James Sheedy (Anne Marie).
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Anne; brother, Drew; brothers-in-law, Richard and James; sisters-in-law, Micki, Kay and Dee; mother-in-law, Kathleen; father-in-law, Frank.
Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation 9:30-11:00 AM Thursday, November 3, 2022 at St. Agnes Church, 233 West Gay St, West Chester, PA 19380 followed by his Funeral Mass 11:00 AM. Interment at later date.
